Boris Becker and Fashion Concept plan to build a casualwear fashion line

Boris Becker is going to launch his own collection this year, in collaboration with the Mannheim fashion manufacturer Fashion Concept.

Boris Becker prepares to become a casualwear fashion testimonial. To that end, Germany’s most successful tennis player to date will collaborate with the Swiss financial investor Pegasus Development, who took over the Mannheim fashion manufacturer Fashion Concept by the end of November last year. The company has also an ongoing contract with the US-American top model Jeremy Meeks, with whom Fashion Concept developed a high-fashion label in 2019.

Pegasus Development plans to design a dedicated fashion collection for Boris Becker, the launch of which is scheduled for May. What is planned is a smart casualwear line that “has something to offer for every customer”. The prices are to range from 69 to 199 euros. Fashion Concept intends to showcase the first images of the new line in six weeks.

Boris Becker is no stranger to the fashion world either. The former sports professional developed a tennis collection for Tchibo in 2009. Two years earlier, the Leimener had launched its own tennis collection, which mainly focused on the color orange and diamond pattern. Other products from Boris Becker included the sports and lifestyle line BB Retro Court (2005) and the Black & White Collection (2006).
In his professional tennis career, Boris Becker won 49 tournaments in the singles, including six Grand Slams. Boris Becker’s protégées, whom he coached as trainer, emerged victorious in six Grand Slams. After his tennis career, Becker worked inter alia as TV presenter, e.g. for Eurosport and the British BBC. He has also given face to numerous brands, most recently the electronics chain Saturn, and before that also to Mercedes-Benz, Praktiker, B&B Hotels and AOL.
